Hybrid Cable for Optical and Electrical Transmission

Photoelectric hybrid cable is a kind of outdoor fiber optic cable. Its elements are loose tube, cable core and sheath. The loose tube is made of a high modulus plastic. The tubes are filled with fibers and a water-resistant filling compound. Tubes and two wires are stranded around the strength member into a compact and circular cable core which is filled with the filling compound to protect it from water ingress. The strength member is a Fiber Reinforced Plastic (FRP). Then an Aluminum Polyethylene Laminate (APL) is applied around the ca simplex cable and cable core. The cable is completed with a PE sheath. It also contains small fiber diameter and bending radius. Both optical signal transmission and electricity transmission adapt to this cable. This type of cable has its own characteristics which has excellent strip ability of tight buffer.
The utility model discloses a photoelectric hybrid cable of high water resistance. The hybrid cable includes a polyethylene outer sheath, chrome plating plastic-coated steel band layer, a water resistant material layer, and a polyethylene inner sheath which are arranged from outside to inside, and the cross section of every sheath or layer is in a circular shape. The polyethylene inner sheath is provided inside with a core cable, and the periphery of the core cable is provided with two filling ropes, two electric cable lines, and an optical cable line. The electric cable line includes an outside electric cable sheath and an inside feeder. The core cable includes an outside PE sheath and an inside galvanized stranded wire. The optical cable line includes an outside PBT loose cannula and four optical fibers coated in the PBT loose cannula. The beneficial effects achieved by the photoelectric hybrid cable of high water resistance are that: (1) the cable can be introduced to home once and for all; (2) the water resistant effect is excellent; (3) the tensile property and the compression property are greatly improved.
